Grab a copy of the full interview and shoot of Australiaâs most read Sunday magazine in your local city today - available in The Sunday Telegraph (NSW), Sunday Herald Sun (VIC), The Sunday Mail (QLD), Sunday Mail (SA) and Sunday Tasmanian (TAS) - to read this story about taking control of my fertility.
I have chosen this cover to share something that is not necessarily a professional achievement/announcement/fashion piece but to share something (which I also believe is an achievement) that is very personal to me that I KNOW will help others by sharing. Of course this health matter is something ideally Iâd keep private but knowing the importance and power of being vulnerable to help others, even when uncomfortable, particularly women in this space, I couldnât not. I strongly feel we absolutely need to normalise these conversations about fertility, not exclusive to women, within our families, communities, networks and as a part of our overall general and familial health.
Some big and exciting things happening our way, including this. I will be sharing more about this experience, taking you with me on the journey, including answering all of your questions in the coming days so you to can be as informed as I was. We will also talk about the stigma attached, conversations with family, cultural stereotypes and the options available to us as women specific to your personal circumstances.
Science is a wonderful thing and I feel incredibly grateful that this was an option for us. Have a wonderful Sunday, folks!
